Glenn Highway from Palmer to Glennallen, Alaska



These are the different mountain ranges on the Glenn Highway. The view was spectacular.

Alaska Native Heritage Center


The center allows visitors the opportunity to experience all of Alaska's Native cultures in one facility. Around the 2 acre Tiulana lake, on the 26 acre wooded area ,are 5 different dwellings of the native cultures from different areas of Alaska. Inside the 26,000 square foot welcome center houses a gift center, Native crafts, 95 seat theater, and native dancing area. This was a interesting place to visit.


Kenai, Alaska


Population 7,125 In 1791 it became the second permanent settlement by Russians in Alaska. In 1797 the Dena'ina defeated the Russian Settlement of 150 men. The first fish canneries were established in 1880's




This house is Known as Veronica's Cafe and Coffee House is charming, historic and has great homemade foods. We enjoyed a coffee and a carrot cake there.

















St. Nicholas Chapel was built in 1906 as memorial to Father Nicholas and his helper Makary Ivanov, on the site of the original church .


































Russian Orthodox Church is one of the oldest Russian Orthodox Churches in Alaska and the only National Historic Landmark on the Kenai Peninsula.
